Dior closes Cannes

Melanie Laurent, the new face of Dior’s Hypnotic Poison, hosted the opening and closing ceremonies of the 64^th Cannes Film Festival in magnificent Dior attire and jewellery.

The French actress, Melanie Laurent (well-known for her role in Inglorious Bastards), glowed at the opening and closing ceremonies of Cannes.

Opening: For the opening ceremony of Cannes, held at the Palais de Festivals, Laurent wore a timeless black Dior Couture gown. The beautiful strapless organza dress, with a nude underlay, was teamed with dazzling Chopard diamonds.

Closing: For the closing ceremony, Laurent wore a stunning taupe Dior chiffon dress with striking Dior jewellery.

When asked about her new role as the face of Hypnotic Poison, Laurent said she was flattered to be asked to join the ranks of Grace Kelly, Charlize Theron and Natalie Portman.

“The Hypnotic Poison woman is just like me, but not entirely, which is why embodying her means acting, I like the idea of playing her as a character” Laurent says of the mysterious and sensual persona that the caraway spice, cinnamon and bitter almond fragrance evokes.
