The Italian brand, Diesel, well known for its denim and urban wear, is a rapidly growing name in the fragrance industry.

A creation by Renzo Rosso in 1978, the brand Diesel was born. But the label did not jump to success and hardly even tasted achievement until the international marketing campaign really took off years later. In 1988 alongside the growth of the brand, Rosso hired creative director Wilbert Das straight out of fashion college, who proved to be a talent that would take Diesel to the next level.
The brand has been deemed the “haute couture of casual.” A very appropriate classification for the amalgamation of luxury accessories, eyewear, watches, jewellery and relaxed casual apparel, intimates and kid’s wear.
More than a company, Diesel is a state of mind, it means jumping at new opportunities, living on the edge and being comfortable with oneself.
This is also the philosophy behind the scent you spray. The tag line of diesel fragrance, “Are you alive?” And the disclaimer, “Use with caution,” the ultimate guideline that if you don’t live on the edge you’re taking up too much room.
Fuel for Life is more than simply a mixture of components and chemical reactions. It is instead a way of feeling, a way of living, a way of thinking; a philosophy. Fuel for Life compels you to feel alive and exhilarated, like the thrill of experiencing something for the first time.
Fuel for Life for women was launched in 2007 and was created by Annick Menardo and Thierry Vasseur. The scent has top notes of citrus including mandarin and pink pepper, floral middle notes of jasmine and black currant and finishing off with base notes of patchouli and musk. It is a fragrance appropriate for all occasions.
The chypre-floral feminine fragrance complements its older brother Fuel for Life for him. The masculine version is a fougere-powdery scent created by Annick Menardo and Jacques Cavallier. Top notes of anise and grapefruit, middle notes of raspberry and lavender and base notes of heliotrope and dry woods.
There are couple of other male fragrances by Diesel which have been fairly successful, including Only the Brave. The fragrance opens with an ozone-lemon accord which is followed by a super light leather note. During its dry-down, lemon returns to the fore, with a few cedar notes creeping around. The perfumers have created a fresh scent, handsome for the summer months, with a lasting power beyond even a swim in the ocean.
