So forgive me if you already know this, but apparently the big trend in perfumes is gourmand. I know, I thought that was someone who enjoyed food, too, but it also refers to food-based aromas.
“Food-based smells are quite popular right now,” says natural perfumer, author and owner of Aftelier Perfumes, Mandy Aftel to BellaSugar.com. “Natural materials really mix with your body chemistry in a very interesting way, then they kind of fade away,” she says. “They have that soft arc that I think is very sexy.”
I agree.
While you don’t want to smell like mini hotdogs, there are some natural foodie
scents that make a welcome change from your common lilly and hibiscus scents. To help you out, we’ve compiled a few of our favourites – ones that’ll have you smelling, er, good enough to eat. Boom, tish!
