Paris Hilton, Marc Jacobs, Queen Latifah, Marie J Bligh, Ernest Borgnine and Dustin Hoffman were all in attendance at the 37th Annual FiFi Fragrance Award Ceremony held in downtown Manhatten.

Celebrating 60 fragrant years and the 37th Annual Award Ceremony, the New York red carpet event was a great success. The Fifi’s have become a Hollywood hangout, it is the fragrance industry’s most prestigious event of the year where the gifted geniuses compete to win a coveted crystal FiFi, a recognised symbol of excellence.

Hall of Fame Award:

Marc Jacobs

The Hall of Fame Award is presented to an individual who has brought extraordinary ingenuity, creativity and dedication to the fragrance industry. Marc Jacobs has built a fragrance brand with a broad appeal. His contribution to the fragrance industry ranges from Daisy to Lola and his classics, Marc Jacobs for Men and Marc Jacobs for Women. Jacobs spends the majority of his time as the Creative Director of the French design house Louis Vuitton and his own designs, Marc Jacobs and secondary line, Marc by Marc Jacobs.

Daisy and Lola by Marc Jacobs have experienced unrivalled success. The girly fragrances are very similar. Daisy, named after Daisy Buchanan of “The Great Gatsby” is a fresh, summery and very feminine fragrance. Beginning with wild strawberry and red grapefruit, Daisy reveals a heart of violet leaves, gardenia and jasmine. Lola is similarly layered with rich notes, but has a little more retro kick behind it. The opening of pink peppercorn, juicy pear and red grapefruit fades to reveal a heart of fresh florals with a luxurious base of vanilla, warm tonka bean and creamy musk. The effortless charm of Lola proves to be the top of its game and the brevity of Jacobs’ acceptance speech gave him a whole new level of kudos.
