Fashion Houses unite to find a cure. Alex Perry and Carla Zampatti among others light up the runway for a good cause.
A group of young Sydney girls have organised a night of high-end fashion, live performances, silent auctions and of course a little liquor.
Hosted by Richard Wilkens and Natalie Gruzlewski will bring the country’s most prestigious fashion houses together, in an attempt t raise $150,000 for cancer research later this month (28 September, 2011). All money raised will be directed to the Australian Cancer Research Foundation, helping to prevent, fight and cure Australia’s number one killer. Featured designers on the night include Alex Perry, Bianca Spender, Camilla, Carla Zampatti, Cooper St Clothing, Fleur Wood, House of Iluka, Jason Brundson, Little Joe Woman, Rachel Gilbert, Shona Joy, Terry Biviano Shoes, Peep Toe and Herringbone.
The mission of the event is to raise awareness and call to eliminate the physical and psychological pain suffered by family and friends. It is a public display of hope for those who have given up and for those who are can no longer be heard.
Alongside many other Australian organisations set up to fight the deadly disease, Where Couture Meets The Cure is a group dedicated to turning stumbling blocks of treatment into a long-term cure.
