TREND ALERT: High-Top Sneakers

French designer, Isabel Marant kick-started the revival of the urban cool high-top sneaker. But they are not just any sneaker, they have a hidden wedge heel inside them. Two hybrids: Isabel Marant Bekket and Isabel Marant Willow.

Isabel Marant Bekket high-tops have approximately 5 centimetres or 2 inches of hidden wedge inside the padding. While Isabel Marant Willow measures about 7 centimetres or 3.5 inches.

The streetwear phenomenon contrasts suede and leather details, with thick rubber soles and padded ankles. With no surprise, several famous figures have been spotted wearing these famous high-top sneakers. From Beyonce in her “Love On Top” video, to our black and white issue cover girl Miranda Kerr walking down the street with her son, to Alicia Keys watching a game with her family.
