New Boss for Mulberry

Mulberry poaches new boss from Hermes. Controversial?
Bruno Guillon, former Hermes managing director of France, is now chief
executive of Mulberry. Guillon is replacing Godfrey Davis, who has been
Mulberry CEO since 2002. Davis is moving into a non-executive chairman role
with Mulberry, saying of the transition, I am delighted that Bruno will be
joining us as chief executive. We have planned our management succession
carefully and have been actively searching for the right candidate since the
beginning of this year. Bruno brings with him a wealth of luxury goods
experience and an ability to drive our ambitious plans for international
growth.

Guillon has a wealth of experience, having worked at LVMH and Nina Ricci
before joining Hermes in 2001. He thinks highly of Mulberry, commenting that
it is a great British brand with a unique heritage and has an exceptional
opportunity for growth.

The company’s celebrity fans, effective marketing campaigns and sense for
what women want have helped its fortunes rise over recent years, with
Mulberry announcing that its profits trebled over the first half of its
financial year earlier this month.

Look forward to seeing where Guillon takes Mulberry.
