Sofia Coppola has directed the advertising campaign for Marni’s forthcoming collection for H&M.
The incredibly talented director has done it again, shooting the video and ad campaigns in Marrakech last October to capture the essence of Marni. “I enjoyed doing this film for Marino at H&M collaboration,” Coppola told WWD. “I think it’s great how they make fashion accessible and I wanted to show the fantasy and fashion can bring. Consuelo seems really sincere and cares about what she does and I appreciated that.”
No stranger to the world of fashion and fragrance, Coppola is probably most renowned for directing the Miss Dior Cherie campaign in 2008 and for being the face of Marc Jacobs perfume back in 2002. The talented film director, screenwriter and actress has also dabbled in designing, contributing to the Resort line for Louis Vuitton which will be on runways next year.
Marni for H&M will go on sale 8 March 2012 in around 260 stores worldwide. Stay tuned.
