Gucci opens flagship in Sydney

Gucci launches a new flagship store on Castlereagh Street, Sydney – aka the block – Westfield Sydney. Like we need one more reason to go shopping this time of year? Castlereagh street is the Madison Avenue of Sydney and now has another name to add to its ever-growing designer list.

The actual store was designed by Gucci Creative Director, Frida Giannini and is said to be very unique. To celebrate the opening, Frida also designed a “Sydney Collection” to be sold exclusively at the boutique. The limited-edition pieces are perfect for those visiting Sydney who need a little souvenir or Australian memorabilia, the pieces pay homage to the Australian flag and the Southern Cross, plus a very cute Gucci koala to add to the cliché nature of the collection.
