One of the world’s biggest online retailers, ASOS, is getting bigger. Who said shopping was a thing of yesterday?
The highly competitive online retail industry is forcing prices down for the buyer. Perfect. World domination is on the cards for British online retailer, ASOS. Starting with only three employees, the brand now has 1500 little minions typing away for the site and turns over half a billion annually.
This week ASOS launched their Australian tailored site, which hopefully means free shipping! This is the fourth international expansion within the last eight months, the site is growing at a ridiculous pace. The latest campaign is to promote the growth of the menswear presence on ASOS. It’s in the form of an urban skate and street art tour for lads, filmed across Tokyo, London and Paris, with a few more to be released for Berlin, NY, LA and Shanghai (Melbourne and Sydney don’t quite make the cut). It’s a clever little interactive shopping aid – basically the videos can be paused on the outfit and jump straight to the store to purchase.
Two days ago, the store released their first series of advertising campaigns to pump up their menswear sales. Cute pop selection of interactive videos, check them out:
